Dive into the delightful world of baking with our hands on course designed for young bakers, ages 8-12 years old. Students will learn how to bake delicious cakes and cookies and explore fun, creative decorating techniques.
Learning Outcomes:
I. Introduction to Baking (This includes: basic baking equipment and ingredients, kitchen safety and hygiene)
II. Baking Fundamentals (This includes: measuring ingredients accurately, mixing techniques. baking times and temperatures.
III. Cake Baking basics (This includes: making simple cake batter, baking and cooling cakes, introduction to baking frosting)
IV Cookie creation (This includes: preparing different types of cookie dough, baking and cooling cookies, fun decorating ideas with frosting and toppings)
V. Creative decorating techniques (This includes: piping and sprinkles, using food coloring and edible decorations, decorating cupcakes and mini cakes)
VI. Putting it all together (This includes: Combining baking and decorating skills, creating themed treats for fun occasions, final project designing and decorating a cake or cookie masterpiece)
VII. Celebration and Sharing (This includes: tasting and sharing the creations, certification of completion and celebration)
