- Basic Hand Built Ceramics

This course will be structured around the techniques of hand building. Beginning with pinch pots, using coils for coil building forms. Projects will encourage you to think outside the box so that you will have the ability to experiment with sizes and shapes.
Supplies: Basic ceramic art tool kit, cone 6 clay, cone 6 glazes, and flash drive/thumb drive for storing visual examples. Supplies can be purchased through a local art supplier or craft store. (Supplies are not included in the cost of the course, student is responsible for purchasing and bringing supplies needed for the course)

- Spin & Sculpt: Ceramics Open Lab

Discover the freedom to create at your own pace in our Ceramics Open Lab! This flexible, self-directed studio experience is designed for individuals who want hands-on access to our ceramic's facilities without the structure of a traditional class. Participants can design, throw, and glaze their own pottery projects, exploring personal creativity using cone 6 clay in a supportive environment.
While the lab encourages independence, ceramics instructors will be available during the scheduled open lab to provide guidance, answer questions, share techniques, and fire pottery projects. Whether you are refining your skills or experimenting with new ideas, this open lab offers the space and resources to bring your ceramics visions to life.
Prerequisite: Prior ceramics experience recommended.
Materials & Fees: Cone 6 clay and glazes may be purchased from a local art supplier or craft store. Participants should bring personal tools.

- Caricatures in Clay

In this fun and imaginative class, we'll sculpt playful caricatures and silly characters to include people, animals, or even a mix of both. Using hand-building and modeling techniques, students will create expressive three-dimensional pieces full of personality.
The focus is on whimsy and character rather than perfect anatomy, making this class welcoming for beginners and experienced makers alike. Come ready to experiment, exaggerate, and bring your own quirky characters to life in clay.
Materials & Fees: Students should bring 25 lbs. of Cone 6 clay and Cone 6 glazes which may be purchased from a local art supplier or craft store. Participants should bring personal tools.

In this intermediate to advanced class, students will sculpt expressive heads and busts using hand-building and modeling techniques. We'll explore surface decoration and design to add unique details that enhance each form.
Along the way, students will learn approachable anatomy concepts and practical techniques for developing the figurative form while allowing space for individual style and interpretation. Prior clay experience is recommended.

Financial Wellness is a beginner-friendly course designed for individuals and students who want to build confidence and clarity around their finances. This workshop acknowledges that money challenges can arise at any stage of life and that everyone's financial journey is different. Whether you're managing limited resources, returning to school, or simply seeking a healthier relationship with money, this course meets you where you are- without judgment. Students will learnpractical, real-world strategies to manage expenses, make informed financial decisions, and take meaningful steps toward long-term financial stability.
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Understand financial behavior: Explain how habits, emotions, and decision-making influence personal finances (Behavioral Economics).
- Navigate banking systems: Identify key features of bank accounts and financial tools to manage money effectively.
- Build savings strategies: Develop a plan for short-term and emergency savings that aligns with personal goals.
- Plan for educational costs: Explain options for paying for college, including financial aid and cost-saving strategies.
- Manage debt responsibly: Describe types of debt and implement strategies to reduce or avoid debt accumulation.
- Distinguish needs vs. wants: Apply decision-making techniques to prioritize spending.
- Track and analyze expenses: Use practical methods to monitor income and spending for better financial awareness.
