    The CCW course will provide the required training to apply for an Arizona Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) permit. To participate, students must be at least 21 years old.

    The topics include the following:

    • Arizona use-of-force laws
    • Legal considerations related to carrying
    • Simulated use-of-force scenarios
    • Basic firearm safety
    • Range qualifications at the Central Arizona College Firing Range. Range portions will require you to safely demonstrate firearm handling, marksmanship, and proper proficiency with your personal firearm.

    At the end of the course, the CCW instructor will assist you with the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) fingerprinting process.

    *** Pre-requisite-Student must provide documented proof of completing a Firearms Safety course prior to the day of the course to the CCW instructor.

    *** The CCW instructor will contact you via email with a list of items needed for the course, instructions for the DPS fingerprinting process, and the safety precautions of your firearm.
