Window Initiated Search Training is a 1 day course that uses National Data and the latest NFPA 1700 standards to teach firefighters how to properly size up a structure for search operations and make entry through a window to begin search and rescue operations. This course includes knowledge and skills of ground ladders, fire dynamics, isolation and ventilation practices as well as search techniques and victim removal methods. This
course will teach skills and train on repetition before Live Fire evolutions.
Students will be required to have full PPE as well as SCBA with a minimum 2 cylinders.
