    The AHA’s BLS (Basic Life Support) course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

    Who should take this course?

    The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.

    What does this course teach?

    • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
    • The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
    • Important early use of an AED
    • Effective ventilations using a barrier device
    • Importance of teams in multirescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR
    • Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants

     Special Note: You must be registered and paid prior to the first day of class to participate. Registration into the class will not be processes after a class has begun.

    Note: This training is open to all ages. It is recommended that students 15 years or younger enroll with a parent or guardian.

    Required Supplies: Paper and pen/pencil.

    The Drone Pilot Workshop (Part 107 Prep) Workshop provides the required aeronautical knowledge for remote pilots operating systems flown within Visual Line-of-Sight (VLOS) and weighing less than 55 pounds. The curriculum addresses pertinent aeronautical knowledge, including regulations, meteorology, operations withing the National Airspace (NAS), and Aeronautical Decision Making (ADM). This course covers all topics the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requires to pass the Unmanned Aircraft General (UAG) examination. It augments those topics with safety concepts and practices to develop well-informed and responsible remote pilots. Students who complete the course will receive a Certificate of Completion. This workshop will also guide and prepare you to set up and schedule your UAG exam to earn your Commercial Remote Pilot license through the FAA. Testing fees are seperate from this workhsop and paid for through the testing center of your choice. Your workshop instructor will walk you through the process of selecting a testing center and registering for your exam.

    Learn salsa dancing for fun, confidence, pleasure or social. It is a fantastic way to personalize and stylize your salsa dancing, enhance your footwork skills, while burning calories. This class is open to students of all fitness levels. The class can be repeated. The instructor will modify movements for returning students so that skills can be developed to an advanced level, while others are developing beginner skills.

    Recommended: Wear comfortable clothing you can move in and sneakers. Bring a water bottle and towel.

    You will learn a variety of Latin Dance styles known for their rhythm, upbeat energy and dazzling movements. This includes steps, turns, and movement around the dance floor. The class is designed as a fun and exciting workout dancing class. No previous dance expereince or partner is required to enroll in this class. The class can be epeated. The instructor will modify movements for returning students so that skills can be developed to an advanced level, while others are developing beginner skills.

    Recommended: Wear comfortable clothing you can move in and sneakers. Bring a water bottle and towel.

    Note: No class Mar 21.
